Her Space

Asama, a startup born in the small village of Alimur in Assam, is dedicated to creating beautiful, eco-friendly home decor and gifting solutions while uplifting the lives of women artisans. Founded during the pandemic by Richika, Asama began as a response to the dire need of village artisans who had lost access to markets. Today, Asama works with 60 skilled artisans, helping them overcome self-doubt and discover their potential through training, better tools, and contemporary design guidance. The heart of Asama lies in its commitment to empowering women artisans by providing them with the skills, resources, and market access they need to earn a proud living. Each product, whether it’s a handwoven basket, an eco-friendly planter, or a handmade table mat, reflects the artisans’ dedication to quality and their deep connection to their craft. By purchasing Asama’s products, customers not only bring an elegant piece into their homes but also contribute to the prosperity of these women and their families. This mission aligns perfectly with HerSpace’s core values. HerSpace is dedicated to creating a platform that uplifts women-led enterprises and promotes sustainable, ethical products. Just like Asama, HerSpace believes in the power of empowering women to be decision-makers in their own lives and businesses. Together, Asama and HerSpace are committed to reviving traditional crafts, providing sustainable livelihoods, and ensuring that the artisans’ work reaches a global audience. Through this partnership, Asama and HerSpace are not just selling products; they are building a movement where traditional crafts are preserved, artisans are empowered, and every purchase contributes to a sustainable and ethical future. Together, they are creating a world where being “Thoughtfully Stylish” means making choices that uplift communities and honour the earth
